Welcome to my unofficial fansite for Escape the Night! As the term "unofficial" suggests, I am not in any way, shape, or form associated with Joey Graceffa, Escape the Night, or Crystal Wolf. I'm just some schmuck with too much time on their hands and a lot of love for Escape the Night.
Some of the names I go by are poeticpains (Tumblr) and BronzeFox (Archive of Our Own and SquidgeWorld Archive). I'm a university student in America that discovered Escape the Night in 2019 through MatPat/Game Theory. I have fond memories of watching it all of Season 3 in one night and falling in love with The Detective | Matthew Patrick immediately. Some of my other favorite characters are The Savant | Joey Graceffa, The Thespian | Tyler Oakley, The Journalist | Eva Gutowski, and Arthur Fletcher (Season 1).
My main contribution to the Escape the Night fandom is my fanfic. I started writing many years ago in middle school, and have always been fascinated with fanfiction, to the point where the first things I ever wrote were fanfiction (though I didn't know that term at the time). I think that the passion that drives everyday people with lives, jobs, pets, kids, and every other responsibility of modern life to spend their free time writing things for no profit is a beautiful, wonderful thing, and I aim to help further fandom's gift economy by giving my fanfiction away for free simply because the only thing I need to "get" out of it is the knowledge that other people enjoy it. I also occasionally make icons, graphics, and playlists. Most of this stuff is hosted on Tumblr. Please feel free to check me out there if you found me through some other means or if you'd just like to chat!
Please forgive any coding weirdness or broken links, as I'm a total beginner when it comes to coding/CSS/HTML and don't really know what I'm doing. I mostly just type things and see what happens.
